Acacia denticulosa

Acacia denticulosa or Sand Paper Wattle

A unique species from South Western Australia. The rigid leaves have a texture similar to coarse grit sandpaper and light up when backlit by the setting sun. The golden Cheetos like flowers appear in late Winter to early Spring.

Acacias do best in Full Sun with moderate to good drainage. Hardy to at least 26f and possibly lower. Height and width are variable but on average expect 6-8' high and wide. Tip prune from a young age to encourage a fuller form and smaller stature.
