Banksia dryandroides (Dryandra-leaved Banksia)

Banksia dryandroides or Dryandra-leaved Banksia

Unlike other members of the genus, this Banksia doesn't produce show-stopping flowers. So why grow it? Its all about the foliage. The underside of the leaves is a dull white so when the wind picks up, the entire plant appears to shimmer. The leaves also form a vivid contrast when the plant is grown against boulders, in front of rock walls or in combination with other plants of different form or color.

Banksia dryandroides is variable in height so expect it to range from 2-4' in height and slightly wider. No pruning is necessary and it is hardy to at least 26f.
