Banksia petiolaris

Banksia petiolaris

Ground cover Banksias are fun to grow and are more forgiving than their taller relatives. This particular Banksia stays close to the ground with its leaves jutting straight up from the stem. The dusty yellow flower heads appear at the edge of the foliage in late spring and persist for months. Grows best amongst boulders/berms or spilling over a retaining wall.

Does best in full sun or partial shade with good drainage and air movement. Expect a mature size of 1' high by 3-5' wide. Hardy to at least 26f.
