Hakea cinerea (Ashy Hakea)

Hakea cinerea or Ashy Hakea

An unusual Hakea from Western Australia with rigid leaves that have a felty texture. The flowers burst from swollen buds in Spring and contrast well against the foliage. This is a relatively fast growing and variable shrub to 6+' and can reach 6-8' wide. Pruning from a young age is the best way to keep the plant in check.

Provide full sun, good drainage, and airflow for best results. Hardy to around 26f.
